Theme: Designing Assessment That Works: A Hands-On Workshop with AIM Cards
This interactive two-hour workshop introduces Assessment in Motion (AIM), a practical card-based tool that helps teams explore, challenge, and reimagine their assessment strategies. Whether you're navigating assessment in an age of AI, revising an existing module, or planning a new programme from scratch, AIM gives you a flexible, visual framework for meaningful conversation and real change.
In this session, working in teams, you will be introduced to one approach within a wider range of effective ways of using the AIM cards. You will holistically map assessment across your programme, building a picture of the skills developed through different assessment methods and identifying any gaps or overlaps. The cards and mapping will create a shared space for teams to surface challenges in assessment and to discuss a range of potential solutions and alternative assessments.
Ideal for: programme teams, module leaders, and curriculum designers looking for a practical starting point for assessment review and redesign.
