TIRIgogy Blog aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, fostering an environment where pedagogical decisions are informed by the latest research findings and where research is deeply connected to the realities of the classroom in a Higher Education context. As such the purpose of TIRIgogy blog is to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices in higher education teaching and learning.
Submissions in the following areas are welcome:

Blog types
Types of blog you can submit include (but not limited to):
A. Case Studies: Explore successful teaching and learning methods in-depth, showcasing their real-world impact through detailed narratives.
B. How-To Guides: Practical, step-by-step guides offering actionable tips for seamlessly integrating research-informed pedagogy into the classroom in various learning environments.
C. Reflections: Personal insights and experiences shared by educators, fostering a sense of community through shared narratives in teaching intensive research-informed pedagogy.
D. Research Spotlights: Summaries and discussions of recent research findings, bridging the gap between academic scholarship and practical applications in the classroom.
E. Q&A Sessions: Engage with experts in higher education through insightful interviews, gaining first-hand perspectives on innovative pedagogical approaches and research methodologies.
criteria
Word count: Between 500-800 words. In exceptional circumstances up to 1000 words may be considered depending on the nature and context of the blog.
Relevance: Blogs should address current issues or provide insights into improving teaching and learning.
Clarity: Well-written, concise, and accessible to a broad audience.
Evidence-Based: Supported by research, data, or practical examples that are hyperlinked in-text.
Originality: Content that hasn't been previously published, fostering fresh perspectives.
Ensure your post aligns with TIRIgogy's core values (you will find these in 'About TIRIgogy' section on the website).
Submission and Review Process
Get in touch: To discuss a blog submission, get in touch by completing the 'contact us' form. It would be useful if you can provide a clear outline of what your blog is about. You can also use this template to send an early draft of your blog. A member of the editorial team will be in touch to confirm if your concepts can be developed into a blog article or if your blog would be of relevance to TIRIgogy.
Initial review: When you have submitted a blog, the editorial team will conduct an initial review for adherence to submission criteria and forward it for peer-review.
Peer review and feedback: We will use this stage to help develop your blog if it requires refinement to ensure relevance, clarity, and evidence-based practices are embedded in the blog. This may take up to 3-4 weeks.
Editorial decision: You will be notified when your blog is ready for publication.
Publication and promotion: Time to celebrate! Approved blogs will be published on a regular schedule and promoted on your behalf through relevant newsletters and social media platforms to share with the wider Higher Education community.
The TIRIgogy Blog editorial team is comprised of various Higher Education (HE) practitioners from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and with a rich experience of working and publishing in the HE sector.
