Theme: Generative AI for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
Given some of the apocalyptic stories of existential crises consequent of developments in AI broadly and Generative AI in particular, it's easy to get caught up in sci-fi narratives and feel a little at sea (before sighting the land that is an undiscovered country). Where do we even start, especially if we don’t have a computer science background? Whilst solitary adventures may form the backbone of many discovery narratives, this is something we need to do together: with colleagues, with students. There are of course big dangers ahead but also so many things that might amaze us and challenge us to reshape our understanding of the wider World. So, put on your (metaphorical or real) pith helmet and join us in this event where our guest speakers will share some interesting finds and asks some challenging questions about Generative AI and its integration in teaching and learning.
